Standard & Rechargeable Key Fob Batteries
Different vehicle keys use different types of battery. Some remote keys use a standard replaceable coin-cell battery, while others use a rechargeable battery fitted to the key's circuit board.
Rechargeable key batteries with solder tags normally require the key to be opened and the battery to be removed and soldered to the circuit board. The position and angle of the solder tags can vary, so it is important to select the correct battery configuration for your key.

Replacing a Car Key Battery
