Replacing a Citroën Key Fob Battery
Citroën remote keys in our current range use standard replaceable coin-cell button batteries. Depending on the key design, the case or battery compartment must be opened carefully before the old battery can be removed and replaced.
The replacement battery should be fitted in the correct orientation, matching the polarity markings shown inside the key or battery holder.
Before Replacing a Citroën Key Battery
Care should be taken when opening a remote key, as excessive force can damage the key case, buttons, circuit board or other internal components.
A new battery will not repair unrelated faults such as damaged buttons, faulty micro switches, broken solder joints or circuit-board problems. If the key remains faulty after battery replacement, further repair may be required.
