Repair and refurbish your existing Land Rover Freelander 2 5-button remote key fob with this DIY replacement kit, suitable for compatible Freelander 2 models from 2006-2012.
The kit includes an aftermarket 5-button replacement key fob case with a removable uncut HU101 key blade, together with a genuine Panasonic VL2330 3V rechargeable battery.
Your original circuit board, transponder and other reusable components are retained and transferred into the replacement case. Because the original programmed electronics are retained, reprogramming is normally not required.

DIY Freelander 2 Key Fob Repair
This kit is intended for customers who are confident dismantling and repairing their existing remote key. Your original circuit board, transponder and other required internal components must be transferred into the replacement housing.
The Panasonic VL2330 is a rechargeable battery with solder tags. Replacing it requires soldering skills and suitable equipment. The existing battery must be carefully removed from the circuit board and the replacement installed with the correct polarity and orientation.
The VL2330 is a rechargeable battery and should not be confused with similarly sized non-rechargeable CR-series coin cells.
Replacement HU101 Key Blade
The replacement case is supplied with a removable uncut HU101 key blade. If you intend to use the supplied blade, it will need to be professionally cut to match the vehicle.
Alternatively, the original blade may be transferred where suitable.
Check Your Freelander 2 Key Before Ordering
Please compare the existing key carefully with the product photographs before ordering. Land Rover vehicles can use different remote key designs, batteries and internal components, so the shape, 5-button layout and blade type should match the key shown.
