DIY Ford Transit MK7 Key Fob Repair
This repair kit is designed for customers who are confident dismantling and repairing their existing remote key. It can be used to address several common problems, including a worn or damaged key case, a failing rechargeable battery and faulty or non-responsive button micro switches.
The Panasonic VL2330 rechargeable battery and replacement micro switches require soldering to the circuit board. The existing components must be carefully removed and the replacements fitted correctly without damaging the PCB or surrounding components.
Your original electronics and transponder must be transferred into the replacement housing. Because the original programmed electronics are retained, reprogramming is normally not required.
Replacement Tibbe Key Blade
The replacement case is supplied with a removable uncut Tibbe key blade. If you intend to use the supplied blade, it will need to be professionally cut to match your existing vehicle key. Alternatively, your original blade may be transferred where suitable.
